Review: ECOlunchbox Solo Cube and Solo Rectangle

ECOlunchbox generously sent me their Solo Cube and Solo Rectangle to review. I selected these from their beautiful collection thinking that their size most closely fit the size and style of lunches that our son prefers. When they arrived Nikolai's first comment was, "These are so shiny they are like mirrors; I can see my reflection perfectly!" which is true; the quality of their finish is great. I told him that he is supposed to be eating his lunch at school instead of looking at his reflection.:)

The Solo Cube measures 5 1/4 inches square and 1 7/8 inches deep and the Solo Rectangle measures 4 3/4 inches wide, 6 3/4 inches long and 2 inches deep.
They also have several different styles of containers, lunch bags and accessories that can be found here.

Things that we like:
- Easy to open and close for small hands.
- Stainless steel will not retain stains, odors or residues and will last for a long time with proper care.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Lead free, plastic free, BPA free, phthalate free, non toxic and waste free.

Things to consider:
- The containers are not leak proof.
- Not for use in microwave.

Here is a lunch packed in the ECOlunchbox Solo Rectangle.

In this bento lunch:
  • All natural, No food coloring Torino Farfalline pasta with basil pesto and flower shaped carrot pieces.
  • Cantaloupe pieces and watermelon shaped flowers.
  • Sugar snap peas.
Here is a lunch packed in the ECOlunchbox Solo Cube.

In this bento lunch:
  • Bus shaped sandwiches, stacked. I used our bus shaped cutter and stamp set and they are so easy to use.
  • Crinkle cut carrot pieces and sugar snap peas.
  • Rocked shaped cheddar crackers.
  • Rainier cherries.
Here are the containers with their lids.

And here are the containers when we first received them.

Here are the supplies that I used to make and pack these lunches.

Disclosure: ECOlunchbox generously provided me with the products for review without cost to me. Other than receiving the products, I have not received any compensation to write this review.
