Disney Winnie The Pooh Ornament Bento

These next few days the kids have early dismissal from school and I planned to have lunch dates with Nikolai after picking him up from school.
Gosh, I have been super busy lately and the traffic is just terrible especially this time of the year with snow birds and many others rushing around for Christmas shopping.

While decorating our Christmas tree, we came across a set of  Disney ornaments and one of them is Winnie The Pooh! I decided to make an ornament bento but a simple version compared to our colorful ornament.:) This lunch is packed in his LunchBots Quad.

Santa's Reindeer Sleigh Ride Bento and Snowman Snack Bento (2)

I have achieved my goal end of last month and I managed to sent out some Christmas presents ahead of time! I have always set the same goal and only this time I succeeded. There is more shopping to do for people that we will visit and hand deliver the presents and some that I might randomly shop for and send out last minute as surprises.
I'll have to set my goal early again for next year 'cause the no rush feeling is kind of relaxing!

Here is a Reindeer, Sleigh and Santa bento.

Elf On The Shelf Bento

When I told Nikolai that I'll make him an Elf on the shelf bento, he said "Mom, did you know that Elves are spies for Santa?" He told me with a serious expression on his face with those big round sparkling eyes. I thought it was funny but didn't laugh; I adored his super cute expression and how precious is that.:)
I used my plunger cookie cutter from Nordic Ware set which I purchased from Target last year. I tried looking for them this year for presents but unfortunately I was unable to find them. Have a great weekend everyone!

Review and Giveaway: LunchBots Insulated Thermal Container

The nice people over at LunchBots generously sent me an insulated thermal container to try out since this is the season for hot foods. From their collection, I selected the LunchBots insulated thermal in green. LunchBots makes this 16 oz. thermal container with many great features. The thermal is bowl like shape which is both easy to fill with foods such as chili, stews, pasta, soups and also makes it easy to use when eating. The seal is effective and there are even markers to indicate when it is fully tight. The inside of the lid, which could be in contact with the food is also of stainless steel, one of my favorite features. Of course, as well as keeping hot foods hot, it can also keep other foods such as applesauce, yogurt, pudding, fruits and more cold. It is very easy to clean and won't absorb food odors or colors.

I packed chili into our new LunchBots insulated thermal container.

The photo below shows the inside part of the lid.

Things that we like:
- I love the inside of the lid which is stainless steel and without plastic coming into contact with hot food.
- The bowl like shape is easy to use.
- It keeps foods warm or cold for hours.
- Clean-up is easy.
- Great looks.

Something to consider:
- Opening the wider lid may be difficult for a small child with small hands.
- After four hours (from the time I pack his lunch till his lunch time), the temperature of the food is not piping hot but warm, certainly not a problem for Nikolai since he loves warm foods instead of hot.

LunchBots is generously offering an identical insulated thermal container to one of my readers.

I had so much fun that I think I might have temporarily lost my blogging mojo. I hope to get it back soon! My first Christmas bento this year will be Rudolph since I have a lip pop (candy part is gone, washed and it's a reusable pick) which helped to make this bento easy.
