GreenPaxx Slim Snack Reusable Snack Packs Review

The nice people over at GreenPaxx generously offered us the opportunity to review their Slim Snack Reusable Snack Packs. We had been given a chance to select the colors which were tie dye stripes or solid. Nikolai selected the tie dye set. These arrived a couple of weeks ago and inside the box there was a container of Slim Snack Reusable Snack Packs and also, surprisingly, a box of Cool Straw Reusable Silicone Straws which GreenPaxx was so nice to include.
The Slim Snack Reusable Snack Packs are tapered silicone tubes that come complete with airtight, leakproof lids that are still easy to open and tethered so they won't go missing. They are a high quality execution of a brilliant idea. These are ideal as pop molds for a frozen smoothie, applesauce, yogurt or for packing snacks like raisins, granola bites, pretzel, carrot sticks, etc.

One thing that I have found with some molds or containers it that they have a plastic odor that just bothers me. Sniff I did, several times just to convince myself, and there was NO ODOR!! They are a convenient size and made with no BPA, no Pthalates, and no PVC. The Cool Straw Reusable Silicone Straws are made from the same materials and actually come apart for easy cleaning. They even  are color coordinated as you can see in the photo below.

I have included a Slim Snack Reusable Snack Pack with the bento lunch shown below. I made this peeking owl waffle breakfast for lunch with cream cheese and jam. Since it's fall time I thought that an owl will be cute. His eyes are made from Provolone cheese shaped with a circle cutter and raisins. The beak is free hand cut of Colby cheese. Above the owl is a granola bar and a frozen smoothie pop which was made of berries, bananas, yogurt and milk in our slim snack reusable snack pack, which will be thawed by lunch time. To the right are some grapes, goldfish crackers with a leaf pick and a string cheese..

For the bento below I used a cute bear stamp on Colby cheese on circle shaped sandwiches. Also included were some grapes, a couple of cherry tomatoes, organic granola bar and in a container I added a couple baby organic baby carrots and crinkle cut cucumber slices. Blueberries are the "surprise" in the slim snack pack. These lunches were packed in our Bentology living bentobox.

Nikolai likes that these straws have a soft texture, and I like it that they are so easy to clean. Below is a photo of the GreenPaxx Reusable Silicone Straws which came as a pack of four.

This photo shows the packaging in which they arrived. Overall, we love these GreenPaxx slim snack packs, and I recommend them as a great addition to your collection of bento supplies.

  2. I don't know why it took me so long to discover silicone kitchen utensils but I'm loving each one I learn about, including these (on my wishlist now). I received a silicone collapsible colander/strainer today and just love it, so I'm on the lookout for more wonderful products. These are such fun colors too. Thanks for featuring along with the cute Bento foods.~Deb

    1. dd, thank you for your kind comment. I was initially skeptical about silicone kitchen items but changed my mind after giving them a try, especially the baking ware. Besides, they don't take up much storage space. :)
