Bento Lunch: Smiley Pancakes and MonBento New Accessories Review

I was happy to receive some neat bento items last week generously sponsored by MonBento. I have written an earlier review of their original bento box a couple of months ago which can be read here.

The sauce cups comes in pairs and in a variety of colors. Ours are black/white which goes perfectly with the color of our Monbento original box. The opening by screw cap with silicone seal works very well. They are also dishwasher safe and BPA free. These cups will be great for salad dressing, ketchup, syrups and more.

I also love their cutlery set which is made of quality stainless steel and the cases for their cutlery  also come in variety of colors. I sent the case without the knife with Nikolai to school but will be using the set at home as well for his meals. They fit into the bento box between the intermediate and the top lids held in their colorful case.

I have not tried the square egg molds as we only have large sized eggs at home for now. I am thinking it will work well with jumbo sized eggs. Their egg molds are sold in pairs with one lid stated egg and the other bon appetit. For today I made this breakfast for lunch pancakes.

Smiley pancakes, bento school lunches

In this bento lunch:
  • Top tier contains mini pancakes with nori details. One mini cup is organic maple syrup for pancakes and the other is ranch dip for the veggies and a granola bar.
  • Bottom tier contains seedless red grapes, watermelon and cantaloupe flowers. Broccoli florets and carrots cut into butterfly shapes. Baked ham topped with a cute silicone baran.

Here are the supplies or similar that I used to make and pack this lunch.
