Fortune Cat Bento

I think fortune cats are cute and I have them at my work place and our home. The ones that we have are operated by battery and one of the paws moves slowly in a welcoming gesture.:) Fortune cat is sometimes also called money cat, lucky cat, happy cat and welcoming cat. They are usually being displayed at the entrance in shops, restaurants and other businesses and believed to bring good luck to the owner.

I made this fortune cat bento with the help of our CuteZCute cutter. Packed in our Laptop Lunches.

In this bento lunch:
  • Main section: Fortune cat, face is cut using our CuteZCute cutter. Whiskers and eyes are free hand cut nori with fruit leather nose and collar. I also free hand cut the body of the cat. There is a colby pendant and the cat is holding a goldfish cracker surrounded by fish shaped carrots.
  • Top left: Homemade agar agar
  • Bottom left: Cantaloupe cut into fish shapes.
  • Far right: A spoon wrapped in cloth napkin.
Here are the supplies or similar that I used to make and pack this lunch.
