The Angry Birds Bento Lunch

We plan to watch The Angry Birds Movie this weekend, and this is my first ever Angry Birds themed bento lunch! Last weekend, when we went shopping, Nikolai purchased a few Angry Birds t-shirts. One of them had only the pig and he told us he likes the pig and thinks that it's very cute. Chuck (Yellow Bird) is my personal favorite and Red (Red Bird) is my hubby's favorite.

Since that's the case, I included all three characters in this lunch, and I'll admit that it took me a little longer to make than many of my other lunches. Well, it was fun and worth the time since Nikolai loved it and it has been a while since I made a character lunch for him.

Packed in a Planetbox. Chuck is a triangular sandwich with a topping of smoked Gouda and Longhorn Colby cheese. the eyebrows and top feathers are nori, the beak was carved from an organic baby carrot and for this one I used candy eyes. Pig is made from kiwi fruit with raisin bits for nostrils on the snout and nori for pupils on the Gouda cheese eyes. Red was made from a Babybel cheese with nori eyebrows and pupils and a Colby cheese beak.

These three were accompanied by some broccoli, baby carrots, strawberries and yogurt covered fruits.
