Pilgrims and Give Thanks Bento

We have been arranging for Nikolai's Birthday party this coming weekend and then there is the Thanksgiving party the next week. Life gets kind of hectic for us this time of the year. Giving thanks and being grateful is something our family talks about and we live by on a daily basis.

Pilgrims, Give Thanks bento school lunches, Thanksgiving

In this bento lunch:
  • Main compartment - I used a message in a cookie cutter which I purchased from Williams-Sonoma a while back and stamped 'Give Thanks' on the sandwich. Fig bar behind sandwich.
  • Lower left - Little 'Pilgrim' sandwiches. Man was made with 'mini cupcake cutter' with beard, eyes, and mouth cut from bread crust and hat from nori with asiago and cheddar cheese band and buckle. Woman is from small circle cutter with features of bread crust, nori for hair and asiago cheese bonnet. They are framed by bugles
  • Upper left -Cucumber and carrot sticks
  • Center -Bugles
  • Upper right -Green and red apple slices and seedless red grapes with a turkey cupcake pick.
  • I also included a Lunchbox love note from the Thanksgiving edition and this lunch was packed in a PlanetBox Rover.
Here are the supplies or similar that I used to make and pack this lunch.
