Today,Nick will be going to Dunkin Donuts near the school with his teacher after lunch. He earned it by exceeding 3x his accelerated reader goal for First Quarter. So proud of the little guy. They had a party last week in class too.

It is raining and very gloomy this morning. This is the first time I am using white cheddar Mac and hope that he'll enjoy it. My son has a calendar given to him by my lovely cousin in England and it's printed that today is 'Winnie The Pooh's birthday!! I 'll have to head out and get some cup cakes to celebrate with his collection of Pooh's family and our family this evening:)

You may wonder why I use ham and cheese for sandwiches a lot. The reason is because he eats them. He does not like sandwiches or burgers but will eat this at least.I have been using different kind of cheese and ham for my picky eater and will try to include other sandwich meats soon. Bento Lunch: My first Halloween Bento 10-12

I have never made anything with Halloween theme before;cookies,carving pumpkin etc. This is my first bento and I got inspired by Sheri's blog at http://happylittlebento.blogspot.com/ to carve something. I used red grapes and it is difficult to carve. I was thinking 'Sheri must have real steady hands'. Mine tend to shake with the knife after my 2nd grape!! It didn't look good and I thought of giving up but well,at least I tried. Here is the embarrassing pix.Packed the lunch,100% grape juice and ice pack in his insulated 'friendly monster' lunch bag.

Bento Lunch: Teriyaki chicken 10-11

I love using left- overs for bentos.The only thing I made this morning was the steamed broccoli using my mini microwave steamer.I also heated the chicken and rice and waited till it cooled off before transferring to the bento box.

• TOP TIER- Teriyaki chicken,Jasmine rice with furikake salmon,steamed broccoli sprinkled with furikake.
