Bento Lunch #272: Earth Day Bento

April 22 is International Earth Day, a time to reflect on what each of us can do for our planet.
Throughout our son's school years we have tried to do as much reducing, reusing and recycling; reusable lunch boxes, juice containers, silicone molds, picks, cloth napkins, just to name a few. While usually not included in pictures, today's picture shows one of the  napkins/cloths in the yellow container and a blue juice container that I send with him.

  • Top to bottom- Organic oatmeal raisin granola bar (Cascadian Farm Organic) topped with organic fruit leather 'RECYCLE' alphabets.
  • Organic green and orange pepper slices.
  • Round shaped sandwich with colby recycling symbol.
  • Rose cut from strawberry, seedless green and red grapes.
  • Organic grape juice in juice container and towel in reusable case.

  5. Great lunch, Rina! I wish I could convince John that using his thermos was a good idea instead of constantly having to buy him stupid juice boxes or pouches. Maybe if I remind him it would be better for the earth I could get him to start using it again at least for a little while :)

  11. creative! I tried the strawberry flower but made a mistake since I was busy chatting away :0 I ended up using it as the center of my flower instead of a rose! I'll try again. Yours are really great.
