Hippo Bento

Nikolai's school is doing a fundraiser for their field trip. He was given a catalog from which to sell cookies, soup, cakes, pizza with prices starting from $16, which I personally think it's a little pricey but well, it's for a good cause.

As additional incentive, at various sales goals, they'll get a small keyring sized hippo ornament on a chain, so far he has 2 of these hippos (1 hippo for 5 items sold) and he's trying to sell me some of the items, for yet another. Of course I'll get some from him, but I decided to do it the last minute. I enjoy hearing him asking me daily, "Mom, do you want to buy some cookies from me?" After which I'll tell him I prefer soup as I am a soup person, lol.

He was thrilled to see this hippo lunch the other day. I used my animal pals cookie cutter for the hippo, used a small knife to make the mouth and I added the  teeth which I freehand cut from muenster cheese. This lunch was packed in his Planetbox rover.

Here are the supplies that I used to create and pack this lunch.
