Nikolai enjoyed these two bentos on different days. He was under the weather and didn't have much of an appetite but requested for bears. He also told me that the puzzle in the first bento looked like a castle and the bear is in a castle. He has great imagination.(^_^)

Bento Snack: Bears

This is a snack bento that I made last Saturday as a last minute request. N represented his school for a competition last Saturday and lunch was provided, but as soon as he woke up that morning he came with a bear cookie cutter and said "Mom, can you make me a snack bento and I want bears".
How could I reject a cutie in his pajamas holding a cookie cutter even though everyone was in a hurry!! So, here is a super easy snack bento that I made for him and dad to share. There is no time for me to cut any fruits and our Crunchies natural snacks came in handy that morning. Linking to BentoBlogNetwork.com

 In this bento:
  • Organic baby carrots.
  • Mixed fruit crunchies natural fruit snacks.
  • Nutella and SunButter bear shaped sandwiches with candy eyes and raisin nose.
Here are the items that I used to make this snack.

Bento Lunch: Dog House & Dog Bento

Fortunately tropical storm Isaac passed by with minimal affect in this part of FL and schools had been cancelled on Monday.
We are praying that where it does make landfall, those affected will be prepared and protected!
Our dog's name is Snoopy and I made this bento with the hope of putting a chuckle on N's face when he sees our dog's name during his lunch time :)

In this bento: From left to right - dog house shaped sandwich with fruit leather letters, dog shaped sandwich with bread crust ear and tail, his nose is from raisin and candy eye, bone shaped graham crackers, bone shaped cucumber slices and paw shaped cantaloupe slices. Packed in Rubbermaid LunchBlox

Review: Rubbermaid Lunch Blox And Ice Cream, Cup Cake Bento Lunch

Sometime back I purchased a Rubbermaid Lunch Blox from our local Target store. I though it will be a great back to school lunch box. I particularly like the slide in dividers to keep different foods separated. Rubbermaid sent me the entire Lunch Blox Entree Kit and also a Lunch Bag as a thank you gift recently.

I found the lids are secure and the containers snap on the cold pack perfectly. They are also durable and the pieces interlock well. The Lunch Blox containers are BPA free, leak proof, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe also. Make sure to check back for more reviews on other lunch boxes.

I especially like it when the lunch can be carried flat and love this lunch bag.

The bag features a bottle holder, side pocket, comfort-grip handle and removable shoulder strap.

In the bento: From the top to bottom, seedless green grapes with strawberries cut into heart shapes. Eggland's Best Egg fits nicely into the small container which isolates the egg smell from other foods, blanched broccoli florets and carrot chips, cupcake and ice cream cone sandwiches with asaigo and colby cheese accents, some sprinkles topped the cupcake.

Disclosure: These items were given to me as a gift. I was not compensated in any way for this review and the opinions expressed are my own.

Here are the items that I used for this lunch.
