We understand the importance of staying fueled and satisfied during your travels, and that's why we've compiled a list of easy-to-pack snacks that are perfect for on-the-go adventures. With endless options, feel free to pack your own favorites and customize your snack lineup.

15 Easy To Pack Travel Snacks

1. Trail Mix: A perfect blend of nuts, dried fruits, and chocolate for sustained energy. Most times we grab pre packaged version as we always have those in our home. You can always create your own trail mix.

2. Fresh apples and mandarin oranges (clementines): They withstand travel and provide a refreshing break. We love to pack grapes and cherry tomatoes (my personal favorite), make sure to wash them before you leave.

3. Beef jerky: High in protein, minimal mess, and ideal for on-the-go munching.

4. Granola bars: We personally love the KIND brand and have included them in Nikolai's past lunches. KIND Kids chewy granola bars have a taste kids will love,100% whole grains and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

5. Fruit Strips: They are natural fruit strips which are delicious flavor of real fruit into portable strips. We get ours from Amazon.

6. Fruit snacks: Portable, and made of real fruits which are bursting with delicious taste. We get ours here.

7. Pretzels, crackers, popcorn, and veggie chips: Crispy, satisfying snacks for a delightful crunch. I personally love the SkinnyPop popcorn. Nikolai and my hubby love the Pirate's Booty.

8. Goldfish crackers: This is another family favorite no matter how old we are.

9. Animal Crackers: A fun and tasty treat for all ages, enjoy identifying the animals before munching. This is my hubby's personal favorite.

10. Applesauce: GoGo Squeez Applesauce pouches offer mess-free convenience with various flavors. I have included this to Nikola's lunchbox so many times when we have those low on grocery days (dreading to go grocery shopping days). This brings back memories. This has been our must pack travel snack ( especially to theme parks) as our family love it!

11. Chex Mix: Available both pre-packaged and easy to make at home.

12. Nuts: A protein-packed option for non-allergy sufferers; almonds, cashews, pecans, peanuts and more.

13. Cheese Sticks: An easy-to-eat dairy option; use ice packs to keep them cold.

14. Cheese & Cracker Dips: These cheese and crackers snack packs are individually portioned and do not require refrigeration, making them a perfectly portable, go-anywhere option.

15. Freeze Dried Fruit: Enjoy a variety like dried strawberries, pears, pineapple, apples, mango and more.

We also love using reusable bags for snacks, and Stasher reusable silicone bag is one of our favorites. Remember to pack a cooler for perishables like yogurt, cheese and cut fruits.

Gear up for a seamless travel experience with these mess-free, room-temperature-friendly snacks! From trail mix to cheese and crackers, these choices strike the perfect balance between convenience and deliciousness. Whether you're navigating winding roads or taking in scenic views, these snacks ensure you stay fueled and focused on the adventure ahead. Pack smart, snack smarter, and savor every moment of your journey!

On The Go Snacks For Summer In Sandwich Containers: Road Trips, Park, Beach

It's almost summer break for us, yay! As always, I think I'm more excited than Nikolai.
We enjoy traveling a lot during summer break especially road trips, and when we are not on the go, we are usually at local parks, museums or enjoying our beautiful beaches.

Often I pack a snack for Nikolai, and at times also for my hubby and myself. You may already know that I love to collect bento boxes/ food containers and therefore we have many sizes and brands available.

For on the go snacks, I love to use our smaller containers especially those square sandwich containers which are often the perfect size. I've collected cute ones since Nikolai started Kindergarten and I'm still hoarding them, lol. These containers are also great for play-dates or a light lunch. I fondly remember packing Nikolai's snacks in his Elmo box when he was a toddler for his play-dates since he was quite picky with his food.

Now that school is out for the summer, it is time to turn those plastic sandwich containers into the perfect on the go containers for snacks. They are great for outings to the park, the beach, car rides and more!

On The Go Snacks For Summer In Sandwich Containers: Road Trips, Park, Beach

Keep reading for the description of each snack box.

Snack 2: King's Hawaiian buns with a couple of cute picks, Babybel cheese, organic baby carrots and seedless grapes in our square silicone cups. This snack is also packed in a Fit & Fresh sandwich box.

Snack 3: Sandwich cut in half. Small circle pieces cut with small circle cutter and held in place with honey to resemble a Lego block.
Cucumber slices and strawberry cut into heart shapes. This snack is packed in our Lego themed box which I purchased from one of my favorite bento supplies stores, BentoUSA.

Snack 4: Fish nuggets, Colby Jack fish shaped cheese, seedless grapes, cheddar goldfish crackers, homemade blueberry muffin with a cute pick, veggie straws and Panda cookies. These boxes were purchased years ago from the Dollar section at Target. Also, this is actually a light lunch and snack packed for Nikolai when he was in Kindergarten or Grade 1.

Perhaps these four examples might suggest some of the possibilities that you also might enjoy during summer break. We find often that these simple snacks add a little something special to a day away from home.

Lunch and Snack Made Easy with Welch's Graham Slam! PB&J

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.
All opinions are mine alone. #GrahamSlam #WelchsPBJ #CollectiveBias

"Can you make a lunch for me to take?" Is that a heart warming start for the day, or what?

I truly treasure the time I spend doing something special for family members even when things have to be done quickly or with short notice. Then is when I choose something that is both easy and quick. Then is when I am happy to have Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J in my freezer!

Lunch & After School Snack Made Easy with Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J Grape

We are all long time fans of the classic Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich, but never has that great taste combination been so convenient. These are that great taste combination between crispy graham crackers making a filing snack for any time of day. I always get a smile and a "Thanks, Mom." when I include a Welch's Graham Slam! PB&J bar in Nikolai's school lunch. After school snacks are also a perfect time for these which can be enjoyed frozen or thawed. Below I will show examples of how I include them in both school lunches and after school snacks.

Step By Step Tutorial for kebabs with Welch's Grand Slam! Grape PB&J

In this bento lunch:
  1. Begin with some string cheese (chunks of cheese also works) and some slices of nitrate free lunch meat. Since I'm going to make kebabs, I used a couple of skewers. You can also use any other food picks or toothpicks if you prefer.
  2. Cut the cheese into bite size pieces and slice the meat to approximately the same width.
  3. Roll up the meat and alternate with the cheese to assemble the kebab.
  4. The assembled kebabs. Feel free to substitute or add your favorite food combinations.
  5. Time to add the fruits, vegetables, and the Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J bar.
  6. Ready for the lid, the lunch bag, and the ride to school.
In addition to having these in the freezer, I'll also share some quick and easy lunch packing tips.

1) I try to Pre-pack lunches the night before. The next morning, I'll just have to cut fruits or cheese and assemble them into the bento box.
2) Use leftovers from dinner. Sometimes I pack them directly into the bento box and sometimes into a microwavable bowl so I could heat it up the next morning, allow the food to cool down and transfer into the lunch box.
3) Use freezer stash items like frozen homemade muffins, meatballs, dumplings and more.

You might also like to remember this; if you include your Welch's Graham Slam! PB&J bar straight from the freezer, as I like to do, other items in your lunch box, such as the fruits and vegetables, will remain cool until lunch time. It's like having an extra ice pack that tastes oh so yummy! The Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J will also be thawed by lunch time and you will find the crackers surprisingly crispy.

Welch's Graham Slam! PB&J In Lunchbox

Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J is a very versatile and very convenient addition that makes a lunch really grape, I mean great! Just unwrap and enjoy!

I like that they are great snacks for after school as well, which are filling and satisfying and with no high fructose corn syrup. Before I leave to pick up my son from school, I take the Welch's Graham Slam! from the freezer to thaw. They are ready to eat when we arrive home. Some, like my hubby when he returns from some cycling, like to enjoy them frozen. Either way, the taste is fantastic.

The photo below shows a typical after school snack.

Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J After School Snack

The photo below shows the usual sequence!

Easy Snack with Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J

In this after school snack:
  1. A mug of berry smoothie, some slices of organic apple and a Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J bar.
  2. The wrapper removed reveals the snack within!
  3. Nikolai reaching for the bar.
  4. You won't see that bar again!
In addition to enjoying them at home or for after school snacks, they are perfect for when our schedule is busy and we are on the go to after school activities. Going beyond that, they are wonderful for road trips and family vacations as well. Visiting a theme  park? Be sure to pack some with you. When you leave your hotel for your activities they’ll defrost while your family is having fun. Later your kids will have a delicious mid-morning snack or lunch ready for them!

Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J at Walmart

But what if you ate them while you were on the road, or stopped at a scenic overlook? No problem, just find the nearest Walmart!
You can find them there in the frozen section, right next to other PB&J items.

I am happy to share this great offer: A coupon for $1.00 off (1)  Box of Welch's Graham Slam! It expires 12/31/16 or while supplies last. You have 2 weeks from the day you print to redeem it. Click HERE for the link to the coupon.

We all find, Welch's Graham Slam! Grape PB&J  handy when we are hungry, not to mention delicious. I think when you try them you too will agree!
My speed techniques are:

1) I try to Pre-pack lunches the night before. The next morning, I'll just have to cut fruits or cheese and assemble them into the bento box.
2) Use leftovers from dinner. Sometimes I pack them directly into the bento box and sometimes into a microwavable bowl so I could heat it up the next morning, allow the food to cool down and transfer into the bento box.
3) Use freezer stash like frozen vegetables, meatballs, onigiri, dumplings and more. - See more at: http://www.bentoschoollunches.com/p/bento-basics.html#sthash.KHHALQCP.dpuf

Planet Wise Reusable Snack Bags and Wet & Dry Sport Bag Review

I have become obsessed with reusable snack bags since our summer vacation! We traveled a lot this year and for us our portable snacks are a must. Often we are on a long stretch of road when someone mentions that, "a little snack would be nice about now." Other times we might be at some scenic place and a quick snack helps extend our enjoyment. If you also like the ability to take some snacks along, you can understand why I was so happy to receive these items from the nice people over at Planet Wise.

These are great go-to bags for traveling with snacks. There is no need to worry about the food going stale if the kids don't finish everything. They do not take up unnecessary space in my purse. Another part about these snack bags is once the snacks are gone, I can fold them up to a small size to put in my bag, which is something you can't do with a bulky container!

Planet Wise Reusable Snack Bags and Wet & Dry Sport Bag Review

These bags are perfect for cut fruits, veggies, nuts, pretzels, sandwiches and more. They have a waterproof lining with a zippered closure so whether your treat is crunchy, crumbly, sticky or juicy, these bags are the completely portable solution and so much nicer than using disposable bags. Not only are they great for travel but also to accompany Nikolai's school lunches. It will be great for after school activities when he requires a snack.

Planet Wise Reusable Snack Bags Review

These are high quality from the outer fabric to the lining to the zipper! The designs are cute and I find them really easy to clean. They have many cute patterns to choose from, which you can find here for the sandwich bags and here for the snack bags.

Planet Wise Reusable Snack Bags Review

The Planet Wise Sport Drawstring Bag with Waterproof Pocket shown below is such a great idea with its two sections in one bag; one for dry and another for wet clothes. Many times I've had to send an extra plastic bag with Nikolai for his wet or soiled clothes. This separate waterproof section is a most welcome alternative, and will be our go-to bag replacing those plastic bags. It would probably be easy for you to think of many things you would prefer to separate into this waterproof section. Then there is also the smaller zippered compartment for those items you want close to hand. They have many great patterns to choose from which you can find here.

Planet Wise Wet & Dry Sport Bag Review

You can see both the waterproof antimicrobial inner bag as well as the other inner bag in the photo below. Brilliant concept, simple to use, and stylish too. I love it!

Stasher Storage Bag Review

Our family is always interested in helping to conserve resources and protect the environment and especially with waste which presents a hazard for wildlife. Using disposable plastic bags is much more expensive than many would think, taking into account their long lived disposal problem.

Stasher Storage Bag Review

Stasher Storage Bag Review

Stasher, the maker of the self-sealing, airtight, non-plastic bags made of pure platinum silicone, has sent me one of their silicone bags. Nikolai is wildly excited about their contribution to a sustainable environment, and I am very impressed with their ease of use. These will become my go-to bags for traveling with snacks. They are very durable, which means you needn't worry about cleaning cracker crumbs from the bottom of your child's backpack. You can freeze food in them and even cook food in them. When they return from your family's adventures, you don't throw them in the trash to become a problem forever, you put them in the dishwasher or hand wash to have them ready for their next use.

Stasher Storage Bag Review. Reusable and great for snacks.

The award winning design features an airtight seal so I don't have to worry about food going stale if my son didn't finish everything. Size matters also, and these are perfect for fruits, veggies, crackers, cookies, and other treats for after school activities. In the photo below I have a breakfast for lunch and my Stasher to keep some popcorn fresh. Photos above also show organic baby carrots in the Stasher for snacks.

The Stasher bag, with its pinch-press airtight seal, can be used to store many other things as well such as makeup, vitamins, USB drives, jewelry, school supplies, and the list goes on. For more ideas and complete information please click here to visit their website.

Roll-Ups / Pinwheels Snack Bento

Happy Friday everyone! Roll-Ups or as some people call them pinwheels, are possibly the easiest bento to prepare. I sometimes use tortilla or just flatten out any bread that we have on hand, layer the other stuff on, roll it up and cut as desired! Our LunchBots Quad makes it easy to keep everything separated.
