Bento Lunch #308: Boat bento

Boating is quite popular here in FL and it's one of the activities that we enjoy. The only thing that I dislike is when the weather is too sunny, hot and humid. It does not bother my hubby much as he loves the sun!
My good friend in Japan sent me some protective arm covers that I sometime use but they look a bit odd in this part of the world. I know that a lot of people in Asia use them though:)

In this bento: Clockwise from top left - cantaloupe balls, organic baby carrots, boat shaped cucumber slices, yogurt covered raisins, couple of boat shaped sandwiches decorated with mild cheddar and Swiss cheese. I used the boat shaped sandwich stamp for the cheese accent. Small container of ranch for dipping. Packed in Trudeau FuelBox. Linking to BentoLunch.ne

Here are the items that I used for this lunch.

Bento Lunch: Dog House & Dog Bento

Fortunately tropical storm Isaac passed by with minimal affect in this part of FL and schools had been cancelled on Monday.
We are praying that where it does make landfall, those affected will be prepared and protected!
Our dog's name is Snoopy and I made this bento with the hope of putting a chuckle on N's face when he sees our dog's name during his lunch time :)

In this bento: From left to right - dog house shaped sandwich with fruit leather letters, dog shaped sandwich with bread crust ear and tail, his nose is from raisin and candy eye, bone shaped graham crackers, bone shaped cucumber slices and paw shaped cantaloupe slices. Packed in Rubbermaid LunchBlox

Bento Lunch: Star Onigiri & Veggie Burger Bento

Looks like I have not made onigiri in a long time for N's school lunches. His favorite veggie burgers are MorningStar Farms Grillers. We made plans for a mini vacation this weekend to celebrate my upcoming Birthday, unfortunately had to cancel due to tropical storm Issac that might turn into a hurricane, fingers crossed. We will still be celebrating with family and friends and of course with lots of food! Have a great weekend :)

In this bento: The top section contains a MorningStar Farms grillers veggie burger (halved) with provolone for eyes, nori(seaweed) for pupils, two star shaped onigiri, all on lettuce leaf. The bottom section contains blanched broccoli florets which is now his favorite veggies and watemelon cubes. Small bottle of soy sauce. First time I am sending soy sauce with him to school. Packed in LunchBots Duo.

Here are the items that I used for this lunch.

Bento Lunch: Lunchables Style Bento

I would say lunchables style lunches are the easiest and quickest to pack. To my readers who are not from the U.S, a typical lunchables meal combination includes small slices of meat, crackers, slices of cheese and some varieties include pizza, nachos, subs, wraps and more. I have to confess that I have never tried any lunchables ever, but I have seen them neatly packed in boxes at grocery stores and the idea seems interesting.
Here is my lunchables style lunch in bear theme :)

Lunchables bear themed, bento school lunch

In this bento: Clockwise on the top section contains healthy ones deli ham roll ups, seedless green grapes, bear shaped mild cheddar cheese slices and wheat thins. The bottom section contains blanched broccoli florets and bear shaped watermelon. A cute food pick and couple pieces of baran. Packed in Easylunchbox.

Here are the items that I used for this lunch.

Bento Lunch: Mickey & Minnie Bento

My fellow bento blogger and friend Ludicrous Mama from Bitingmyhand.blogspot.com posted these cute sandwich cutters/stampers that she purchased from e-bay on FB and had me tempted!! Check out her blog and see how she used her Winnie the Pooh stampers, they are so cute.
I am sure N will be thrilled to see these in his lunch box today and probably will bring back memories from our recent trip to Disney.

In this bento: Clockwise from top left - Mickey shaped watermelon, green pepper with Mickey picks, small container of ranch dip, Mickey and Minnie shaped deli turkey and gouda cheese wheat sandwiches (stacked). Packed in Lock & Lock.

Bento Lunch: Back To School Apple Bento- Day 2

I am still trying very hard to get back into normal routine, seems like everything is in a rush and I desperately need to resume my time management. I made a quick bento today and since I don't have a small apple cutter, I used my small pumpkin cutter as a substitute. I wonder if N will notice the difference.

In this bento: Top tier contains apple shaped cucumber slices and pretzel snaps. Bottom tier contains an apple shaped sandwich with food safe marker accents, candy eyes, nori mouth and apple shaped cantaloupe. Packed in a double tiered bento box. Linking to Sunscholars
