Review: Modes4u Bento Box, Penguins & Igloo Bento Lunch

Earlier this month Modes4u a Hong Kong based online shop sponsored me to choose a bento box to review on my blog. Modes4u also carries cute stationery, fabrics, bags, accessories,DIY clay sets besides their very cute bento items. Their kawaii products are directly imported from Japan and the USA and ship to customers worldwide.

During our correspondence, we were in Paris on vacation and the elegant white fruit shop Lacquer bento box caught my eyes. It is even stated Paris behind the box, how nice is that. It is double tiered and comes with a band to keep the box secure. This box is hand painted with lacquer by Prime Nakamura and imported from Japan. The artwork is stunning, bright and cheerful featuring a Paris fruit shop with some cute fruits that might encourage kids to eat more fruits.

This box is microwaveable safe without the lids. It is also dishwasher and BPA free. I have found two tiered boxes to be convenient to separate variety of foods. It also fits nicely along with the ice pack and drink container into some of my son's slim lunch bags, remaining flat. You can find this and more super cute bento items at their online store.

In the bento: Top tier- strawberries cut into rose shapes, seedless green grapes. Bottom tier- Igloo shaped sandwich with provolone cheese and colored with food safe marker, penguin shaped sandwiches with provolone eyes and colby beak and feet and surrounded by broccoli florets. Review: Easy LunchBox and Scooby-Doo Bento Lunch

I am thrilled to be given a chance to review this wonderful lunch box which so many of my bento bloggers and friends have been raving about.
Kelly Lester, the brilliant mom, owner and creator behind the Easy LunchBox System sent me a complimentary 4-pack of containers and a lunch cooler to review on my blog. These make a great choice for a back to school lunch box system!

Easy Lunch Boxes are great for packing bento lunches and provide three sections for food which makes packing lunches easy. I tend to use silicone molds in some of my other lunch boxes to keep foods separated and that means more dishes. With the Easy Lunch Boxes, Kelly has relieved this chore and save me time especially during busy evenings! I usually hand wash all my bento supplies, but it is good to know that it is dishwasher safe.

The compartments are conveniently sized to fit both kids and grown ups. In case you are wondering whether these are similar to those disposable ones sold in stores, the answer is NO. The Easy LunchBoxes are much higher quality, more durable and the lids are not flimsy. These waste free lunch boxes are also FDA compliant and are made of non-toxic, food safe polypropylene, BPA free and phthalate free. These containers are safe for refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. We all want to be greener and the Easy Lunchboxes are reusable and good for the environment. The system also saves storage space as they are stackable.

The lunch coolers could fit 2 containers, ice pack and thermos or juice box. These lunch coolers are also washable and comes in 7 lovely colors to choose from and the price is right for the entire set! The containers are not leak proof and do function best when carried in this cooler.
Overall: The Easy LunchBox System is great for both kids and grown ups. It is simple, affordable, practical and eco-friendly. The easy to open lids have made the containers a hit with moms, teachers, and of course kids! Healthy, homemade "Lunchables" are now a cinch to prepare at home!

Here is my son's first packed lunch in an Easy LunchBox. He requested Scooby-Doo, one of his current favorite cartoon characters.

Review: Rubbermaid Lunch Blox And Ice Cream, Cup Cake Bento Lunch

Sometime back I purchased a Rubbermaid Lunch Blox from our local Target store. I though it will be a great back to school lunch box. I particularly like the slide in dividers to keep different foods separated. Rubbermaid sent me the entire Lunch Blox Entree Kit and also a Lunch Bag as a thank you gift recently.

I found the lids are secure and the containers snap on the cold pack perfectly. They are also durable and the pieces interlock well. The Lunch Blox containers are BPA free, leak proof, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe also. Make sure to check back for more reviews on other lunch boxes.

I especially like it when the lunch can be carried flat and love this lunch bag.

The bag features a bottle holder, side pocket, comfort-grip handle and removable shoulder strap.

In the bento: From the top to bottom, seedless green grapes with strawberries cut into heart shapes. Eggland's Best Egg fits nicely into the small container which isolates the egg smell from other foods, blanched broccoli florets and carrot chips, cupcake and ice cream cone sandwiches with asaigo and colby cheese accents, some sprinkles topped the cupcake.

Disclosure: These items were given to me as a gift. I was not compensated in any way for this review and the opinions expressed are my own.

Here are the items that I used for this lunch.

Review: Trudeau Fuel Lunch Boxes and Initial Bento

I have several Back To School Lunch Box ideas to share with y'all and I am very pleased to start with sharing my experience with Trudeau's Lunch Boxes. Our first was purchased at a local store, initially because we thought the size would be practical for our son who has a small appetite. It has become my husband's favorite as he is particularly fond of the fact that the top is attached and therefore there is no chance for it to become separated and lost.

The one piece construction is very sturdy and made from polypropylene which is both eco-friendly and BPA free. It is also dishwasher safe. Of particular interest for us and others with young children is that we found it to be easy to open when our son started kindergarten and we were concerned about him having difficulties in the relative short time allotted for their lunch.

My awesome followers or those who just stop by for a visit to my blog will notice that Fuel Everest lunch boxes find lots of use. Back in April, someone from Trudeau Corp. featured some of N's lunches in their social media and as a thank you gesture for using their products she offered me a choice of something from their product line. I thanked her, but left the choice to her and was surprised to receive a box a few days later with the items shown below which are ideal for the upcoming school year. I particularly love the Trapeze lunch bag which will hold the lunch box flat. Make sure to check back for more reviews on other lunch boxes.
