Bento Lunch #291: Patriotic/July 4th Bento

We are having a busy, active and fun summer break with road trips, camping, swimming lessons and more. Our next vacation will be out of country and I am so excited and looking forward to it even though our preparations are consuming much of our time. This will be N's second out of country vacation, but much shorter than the last one in which we were gone for 6 weeks. Here is a bento lunch to celebrate the upcoming July 4th holiday.

4th of July lunch, flag, patriotic

In the bento: I used Chobani vanilla yogurt, organic blueberries and raspberries for the flag. The map sandwich is flattened bread with heart shaped organic fruit leather and cheese letters, organic baby carrots and sugar snap peas.

Bento Bloggers and Friends are having our blog hop. Want to see more Patriotic themed lunches? Click to check out the next one from Sarah at Zoe's Lunchbox. Keep celebrating by hopping through the rest of the Blog Hop!

Bento Lunch: Phineas & Ferb bento

This Phineas & Ferb lunch is my first of Disney characters or for that matter, any cartoon characters. It was a last minute decision, being persuaded by N and his play date. I was clueless as where to start but thankfully there was a fruit snack box in my kitchen cabinet that has pictures of Phineas & Ferb that I used as a guide to hand cut the sandwiches, viola! I was not too happy with the result but the kids enjoyed it and thought they were cute, I guess that's all that really mattered.

**If you like what I am doing here, I would also love for you to follow my Facebook page since I post more often there with some cute and fun foods which I occasionally find on the web.

In the bentos: Phineas & Ferb shaped sandwiches with Provolone cheese eyes and nori pupils, Phineas' hair-do with Colby cheese and Ferb's hair-do with cucumber peel, strawberries cut into rose shapes, blueberries, star shaped cucumber slices.

Bento Snack: Cool Face bento

N received this Goodbyn Bynto box as a gift several weeks ago from our good friend Mrs.S, and also received a free green Bynto from Goodbyn recently.
I am still searching for a suitable lunch bag that could fit the Goodbyn Bynto as well as an ice pack!
The weather in Florida is mostly 'hot and humid' and I am kind of concerned about sending perishable food with just frozen juice in the bottle to keep the meal fresh. That's just me being a worried Mommy. I am relying on auto-post to do some postings for me while I am away :)

In the bento: Face shaped nutella mini sandwiches, yogurt stars and nori from Trader Joe's (yummy!). Linking to BentoLunch.net. Linking to BentoBlogNetwork.com

Here are the items or similar that I used to make this snack.

Bento Snacks: On The Go Snacks

Aloha! Here are some quickly put together snacks that I usually pack when we are out and about. It's for his in-between meal snacks. Here are a few past and present snacks packed in Winnie The Pooh box, Shinkansen box and Goodbyn Bynto box. The Goodbyn Bynto is my most recent and packed in less than 2 minutes while the others waited in the car. I am almost too embarrassed to post picture of it, but decided to share that not always speed and beauty goes together!
We will be frequently on planned vacations, so my postings will be random but will be back to normal routine when school resumes.

Snack in Winnie The Pooh box: Pretzels, raisins, Japanese cookies and Mott's all natural fruit snack.

Snack in Shinkansen box: Pretzels, yogurt covered raisins, strawberry bar and Mott's all natural fruit snack.

Snack in Goodbyn Bynto: Cheez-It Scrabble, organic grape juice, granola bar below raisins.
