4 French Toast Breakfast For Lunch Ideas

I am biased here, I would say that my hubby makes the best french toast! I never much liked French toast before I met him but now, after tasting the ones that he made, I kinda like it as does Nikolai, who loves them and often requests them for his school lunch. The French toast bentos below were made by my hubby except for the French toast sticks which I got from my freezer stash. We like to stock up on some frozen breakfast items for times when we need quick and easy, grab and go.

4 French Toast Breakfast For Lunch Ideas

The first breakfast for lunch, shown in the photo below, and packed in our leak-proof Yumbox , is so easy. While hubby was cooking more French toast, I added some features to the ones that I helped packed in the Yumbox. I used a small circle cutter for the cheddar ears and provolone nose, raisin eyes and nori accent for the nose. Does it look like a bear? His sides were organic maple syrup, organic apple sauce and orange slices.

The second breakfast for lunch was from my freezer stash, with the French toast heated in the toaster oven. The sides were organic granola bar cut into half, grapes, organic maple syrup, strawberry yogurt with a strawberry cut into star shape and some organic crackers. This lunch was packed in a leak-proof Bentgo lunchbox.

This third breakfast for lunch French toast was also made by my hubby and I added a smiley face to it, raisin eyes and nori mouth with a cap pick, easy peasy! Sides were organic apple sauce, seedless grapes, organic maple syrup in the small container, Trader Joe's yogurt stars and a spoon wrapped in cloth napkin. This lunch was packed in a Bentology lunchbox.

The fourth French toast breakfast for lunch was also packed in our leak-proof Yumbox. I added a baran sheet for cuteness. Alongside are Chobani Greek yogurt, organic maple syrup and seedless grapes with a pick.

Pinwheels and Bagel Lunches

We are back from our spring break. Besides all of the fun, we did some spring cleaning and this time I donated more than half of my clothing from my closet which is quite drastic I guess, lol. I decided to change my style and get all new clothing and shoes.
Do you like Hello Kitty? It has been one of my favorite characters since childhood and I'm still collecting any cute Hello Kitty items. I've made Hello Kitty lunches for Nikolai previously and wanted to create a bagel to look like Hello Kitty but Nikolai told me "Mom, just to make a cat will do fine."

I totally understand that he's older now and his preferences have changed. I am also afraid that the days of me making cute lunches are numbered, hopefully not too soon though!

Bento lunch 1: Cat themed bagel. As always, honey works best for me as food glue. A dab on the cheeks and it glued the nori whiskers into place. Raisin eyes and cheddar cheese ears completed the face. His sides were celery sticks which he is not keen on, He came home with only a bite on one stick! Ranch for dip in the small container, Annie's organic crackers, blueberries, grapes and a cheese stick.

Bento lunch 2: Pinwheels, or what some call roll-ups, for lunch. His sides were Cascadian farm organic granola bar cut into half, seedless grapes, strawberries, and Chobani Greek yogurt with a spoon wrapped in napkin. I love our bentology living box which has inner leak-proof containers with lids.

Bento lunch 3: Easy dinosaur bagel lunch. A couple of dino picks, dino fruit snack and dino napkin gave this lunch a title. He also had organic apple sauce with extra cinnamon (his favorite) and organic baby carrots.

6 Fun Lunchbox Ideas For Your Yumbox

I had made these lunches some months ago, and I thought it would be nice to combine them all in one post. As you may already know, Yumbox is leak-proof and it's great for sending apple sauce, yogurt, rice pudding, etc with Nikolai. For some reason, he loves applesauce and makes a request for it almost daily!

5 Breakfast For Lunch Ideas

Tomorrow is already December, where did the time go! With Nikolai having a few days off from school, we really enjoyed an extra long Thanksgiving weekend and, as perhaps many others, celebrated in part by eating way too much. Hubby was the main cook, but he insists that everyone helped with the production.:)

Breakfast for lunch or breakfast for anytime of the day is quite popular with our family. I find it easy to pack and you can use either frozen or homemade breakfast foods. Some of these were enjoyed by Nikolai months ago.

Bento lunch 1: Domo french toast. My hubby made french toast one of the mornings for us and I conveniently packed a couple for Nikoila's lunch. I added a couple of choc chips for the eyes, fruit leather mouth and mozzarella cheese teeth. Does it look like Domo-kun? In the center of his leak-proof Yumbox panino is organic maple syrup and his sides were alphabet wheat cookies from Ikea and seedless green and red grapes.

Bento lunch 2: Blueberry muffins. I baked these sometime back and saved some in the freezer. Thawed them the night before in the refrigerator and they were ready to go the next day. He also had sausage patties, granola bar, yogurt covered raisins, peach slices and yogurt. This lunch was packed in his leak-proof Yumbox panino which is perfect for sending yogurt.

Bento lunch 3: Mini pancakes, sausage links and a few picks to make this lunch a little cute.
He also had persimmon slices, cheese slices, and Ikea's alphabet wheat cookies. This lunch was packed in a Bentgo leak-proof lunch box.

Mini pancakes breakfast for lunch

Bento lunch 4: Cream cheese bagel which I added a bunny pick to look like a bunny in a float. His sides were yogurt and apple slices. This lunch was packed in his Yumbox panino.

Bagel for school lunch

Bento lunch 5: Waffle sandwich with baran sheet, a granola bar, fruit snacks, cereal and apple slices. This lunch was also packed in a Yumbox panino.

3 Easy Breakfast For Lunch

These breakfast for lunch were packed during the days that Nikolai had half days at school, I believe around a month ago. He loves Morning Star Farms veggie burgers and requested that I include them is his lunch.

The first breakfast for lunch are mini pancakes. I separated the pancakes and the veggie burger with a baran sheet and included a giraffe fork/pick. On the top section are organic granola bar and dried fruit in a cute bear cup. Pure maple syrup in our leak proof mini-dipper. Apple slices in the bottom section of the Goodbyn bynto.

The next breakfast for lunch are french toast sticks with a cute Mickey pick in a large silicone cup, Halo mandarin orange and purse maple syrup in a leak proof mini dipper. Sides are organic granola bar cut into half and apple slices. This lunch was packed in his Easylunchboxes container.

Breakfast for Lunch, French toast sticks

The last breakfast for lunch is a Belgian waffle from Trader Joe's which I toasted in our small toaster oven in the morning. I heated the veggie burger in the microwave and cut it into stripes and added a cute Donald Duck pick on his waffle. His sides were organic Greek blueberry yogurt and orange slices. He had pure maple syrup in the center of the Yumbox for his waffle. I love our leakproof Yumbox for sending yogurt and dips!

Vampire Bento

I almost typed The Vampire Diaries on the blog title, lol. I have been watching the series from the beginning in 2009 and I personally enjoy it.
We love our Yumbox Panino leakproof lunchbox in which I have the confidence of sending yogurt, applesauce and dips with Nikolai without worry of them leaking and touching other foods. He likes the Chobani pumpkin spice Greek yogurt and I added a cute vampire cupcake ring on it.

This vampire was fun to create although it's not as handsome as Damon (Ian Somerhalder) of The Vampire Diaries.;) The face was made on a circular cut sandwich by cutting nori in part with circle cutter and part by freehand to shape for the identifying hair style, and the dark behind the candy eyes. The mouth was freehand cut from fruit leather with the vampire fangs made from provolone cheese. The Cape was also cut from nori.

In this bento lunch:
  • Main compartment: Vampire sandwich.
  • Center: Organic baby carrots cut into halves.
  • Top right: Orange slices and kiwi slices.
  • Bottom right: Chobani pumpkin spice Greek yogurt with a cupcake ring.

Review: The Lunch Punch ( Critter Cutters and The Match & Munch set)

I was sent two sets of The Lunch Punch earlier in July to review. I receive the Critter Cutters and The Match & Munch sets. Last year, I wrote a review of the VRRRM and SWEET sets that can be found HERE.

The Lunch Punches are one of my favorite cutters. After using them for almost a year I find myself reaching out to them especially during busy and hectic days. They are so easy to use and add some cuteness to Nikolai's lunches. The best feature about these cutters is that they are designed to capture the most amount of bread to minimize waste.

The Match & Munch set includes 4 piece “corners” puzzle, 4 piece “sides” puzzle, 2 piece “inner and side” puzzle  and a 2 piece puzzle.

Here is a bento lunch made using the Match & Munch cutters.

In this bento lunch:
  • Main section: Puzzle shaped sandwiches of pumpernickel and wheat bread.
  • Upper left: Rainier cherries.
  • Upper right: Chobani Greek yogurt with a puzzle shaped fruit leather.
  • Lower right: Salad with ranch dressing in the small container.
  • Far right edge: Spoon and fork. This lunch is packed in our Laptop Lunches.
Here is a look at the complete Match & Munch set.

The adorable Critter Cutters set comes with 4 friendly animal shapes: mother and baby elephant, dog in dog house, butterfly and twin dolphins.
These cutters are BPA free, lead free, mercury free, phthalate free, kid friendly, dishwasher safe and fully recyclable.

And here is a bento lunch made using the dog in dog house cutter.

In this bento lunch:
  • Main compartment: Dog in doghouse sandwich of pumpernickel and wheat bread (using Critter Cutter) with raisin eye.
  • Lower left: Sugar snap peas and ranch in little dipper.
  • Upper left: Bone shaped cheddar cheese.
  • Center and Upper right: Bone shaped watermelon pieces. This lunch is packed in our Planetbox Rover.

How are y'all doing? I made this butterfly bento just before the school holidays, and I am only posting it now.

Annie's organic Mac & Cheese was our lunch after we came home to an almost empty refrigerator except for frozen foods. Besides, I can't wait to use the cute bowl which was given to us by the Manager at A&W during our vacation. He was very kind to give us several bowls and my hubby wanted his lunch to be served in one too, lol.

Bento Lunch #291: Patriotic/July 4th Bento

We are having a busy, active and fun summer break with road trips, camping, swimming lessons and more. Our next vacation will be out of country and I am so excited and looking forward to it even though our preparations are consuming much of our time. This will be N's second out of country vacation, but much shorter than the last one in which we were gone for 6 weeks. Here is a bento lunch to celebrate the upcoming July 4th holiday.

4th of July lunch, flag, patriotic

In the bento: I used Chobani vanilla yogurt, organic blueberries and raspberries for the flag. The map sandwich is flattened bread with heart shaped organic fruit leather and cheese letters, organic baby carrots and sugar snap peas.
